Located along the wild atlantic way in the south west of county clare. Kilkee is a seaside resort town, which has been popular with tourists since the early 19th century. Indeed the Royal Marine Hotel first opened its doors in 1886. Kilkee has had many famous visitors over the years and to name but a few: Lord Tennyson (poet), Richard Harris (actor), Bruce Springsteen (singer) and indeed Che Guevara (revolutionary), who infact visited the hotel in 1962 where he was served his first whiskey.
Today the Royal Marine Hotel offers guests 22 en-suite bedrooms and 9 self-catering apartments. Our Harris's Bistro & Bar serves locally sourced food to include local seafood and Irish steaks.
During the winter months enjoy a leisurely drink by an open fireside in one of our lounge areas.
Located just 300m from Kilkee Bay, guests are perfectly located to enjoy a leisurely walk on the horse-shoe shaped bay, its entrance protected by a reef known as Duggerna Rocks.
